IBU Brings Learning to Life with a Family Feud Inspired English Activity at Our Language School

EVENT DESCRIPTION

We recently brought learning to life at the IBU Language School by transforming the popular Family Feud competition into an interactive English-learning experience designed specifically for our pre-intermediate students. By blending structured language practice with the excitement of a game format, we created a setting where students could actively use English rather than simply study it. Throughout the activity, we encouraged teamwork, quick thinking, and supportive peer interaction, allowing students to practice vocabulary in context, strengthen their communication skills, and build confidence as they expressed ideas clearly and collaboratively.

EVENT OUTCOME

The session generated an energetic atmosphere defined by genuine engagement, shared laughter, and a strong sense of community among our learners. As we guided students through each round, we saw how friendly competition can motivate participation and reduce the hesitation that often comes with speaking a second language. Working together, students listened carefully, negotiated answers, and responded with growing fluency, demonstrating that language development accelerates when learners feel comfortable taking risks and celebrating progress together.
